Never Sent: No Contact · Effective date: October 27, 2026 · Last updated: October 27, 2026
Never Sent: No Contact is local-first. Your journal entries, unsent letters, your no-contact counter and your settings are stored only on your device. We do not upload them to our servers, and we cannot read them or recover them for you.
You do not need to create an account or give us your name, email address or phone number to use the app.
The app contains no advertising and no third-party ad trackers. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to manage purchases and entitlements. RevenueCat processes an anonymous purchase identifier and purchase-related information (for example, which product you bought and whether it is active) so that your purchase can be validated and restored. This information is not linked to your journal or letters, which RevenueCat never receives.
Settings has a toggle called Share anonymous usage stats. It is on by default and you can turn it off at any time; when it is off, nothing is counted.
What it covers: simple counts only. The app uses a fixed list of event names (for example: onboarding completed, SOS opened, paywall viewed, a purchase made) and the only extra detail an event can carry is a number or a choice from a fixed list (for example, which share-card template was used). It never includes free text, your name or nickname, your dates, or the content of your journal entries or letters.
In the current version, the app does not include any analytics service or crash-reporting SDK, and these counts are not recorded or sent anywhere off your device, whether the toggle is on or off. If a future version sends these counts to an analytics provider, we will update this policy to name the provider and what is collected.
Settings lets you export a copy of your data as a file. The export file is not encrypted: it is plain text (JSON) that includes your log entries, your counter history (runs), reasons, folders and letters, the name or nickname you entered, and your settings stored in the app database (such as your counter start time and whether the app lock is on), so anyone who can open the file can read them. The same applies to the optional letters export (text or PDF). Once you save or share a file, where it goes is up to you: you are responsible for where it is saved and who it is shared with (for example, cloud storage or another app). The app does not upload the file.
The SOS screen has a Find a helpline button that opens findahelpline.com in your browser. That is a third-party website, not operated by us, with its own privacy policy and practices. The app sends nothing from your journal or settings when it opens that link, and it does not add any data to the link.
Because your content is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time by deleting it in the app or by uninstalling the app. Purchase records are held by Apple or Google and RevenueCat under their own policies.
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above.
